Follow Your Passion

“Only write from your own passion, your own truth. That’s the only thing you really know about, and anything else leads you away from the pulse.” -Marianne Williamson

What are you passionate about? What moves you to distraction? What gets you reaching for pen / keyboard? Whatever drives you has the possibility to drive your writing. Use this passion as a motivating force.

No matter how busy you are in life, you’ll always be able to stretch time for the activities / loves / experiences that keeps the flame lit inside you. Don’t know what you’re passionate about? Then take a tea break, look at the sky, and think about the things in life that make you excited, happy, fierce, jubilant, or driven. Think about what you’d dearly love to change. Perhaps you have fleeting passions ~ what you love this month might be different the next? That’s okay. There are no rules. Simply listen to what your heart tells you.

Once you know your passion, use it as a spark for your writing. Let it feed into your ideas and words. Go with the writing flow and see where it takes you.
