Digital Spy is one of the UK’s largest entertainment and media news websites. They are looking for new reporters to produce coverage of the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother for the site. Shifts are expected to last from one to four hours depending on the level of coverage. Writer Wanted for School Project – UK

Cooper Perry is a small primary school, located in the picturesque village of Seighford in Staffordshire.  They require a Writer or Broadcaster for their `Down Our Way’ Enquiry School Project.  They would like to explore the topic area of ‘Stafford Then and Now” with a skilled practitioner who can enrich, inspire and provide new approaches. Working with year 3 and 4’s,  areas of research include Memories of Stafford, Life in Elizabethan Stafford, World War Two in this area, place names, and draw rich knowledge and experience from local residence and community leaders.  They would like to do this through the medium of Radio interviews and possibly radio drama shows written and performed by the pupils.  They are seeking someone that will bring new skills and inspiration to the project, that can plan and deliver alongside staff and pupils with the view to a sustainable legacy being left in the school. Yoga Journal covers the practice and philosophy of yoga. They welcome professional queries for the follow departments:
Om – this front-of-the-book section covers myriad aspects of the yoga lifestyle. These short (150- to 400-word) reported pieces are largely freelance written. This department includes Yoga Diary, a 250-word story about a pivotal moment in your yoga practice.
Eating Wisely – a popular, 1,400-word department about relationship to food. Most stories focus on vegetarian and whole-foods cooking, nutritional healing, and contemplative pieces about the relationship between yoga and food.
Well Being – this 1,200-word department presents reported pieces about the integration of a regular yoga practice and health.

Poetry Competition – Scotland

The Wigtown Poetry Competition is the largest in Scotland with a first prize of £2,500, runner up prize of £750, eight additional prizes of £50 each and a Gaelic prize of £500. The winning poem and runner up will also be published in the Scotsman, or its sister paper Scotland on Sunday and will be invited to appear at the Stena Line Wigtown Book Festival 2010. The closing date of the competition is 5pm Friday 5th February 2010, and winners will be notified by Monday 5th April. The prize-giving will take place on Saturday 1st May.
